SEP 29	Dr. Kalantar-Zadeh, chief of the Division of Nephrology, Hypertension, and Kidney Transplantation in the UCI School of Medicine, recently published a paper in The Lancet that provides a seminar on chronic kidney disease and addresses kidney function-preserving lifestyle, dietary and pharmacological strategies. By 2040, it is estimated that chronic kidney disease will become the fifth leading cause of death globally.
